Hi-Vis Safety Apparel Embroidery Digitizing

Hi-vis embroidery digitizing puts company logos on ANSI/ISEA 107 safety vests, shirts and jackets without stiffening the fabric or covering the reflective tape. We use the lightest density that holds the logo on thin fluorescent polyester and size it to sit on background material. Each design has one flat price, delivered in 4–8 hours.

A logo that doesn't get in the way

Hi-vis garments exist to be seen. Their fluorescent background and retroreflective tape have minimum areas under ANSI/ISEA 107, so a logo has to be small, placed on background material and kept clear of the tape.

The fabric is also a challenge: thin polyester or open mesh that puckers under standard density. We build the lightest file that still covers, with stabilizing underlay, so the vest stays flat and flexible.

Supplying the rest of the crew's kit? See workwear programmes for shirts, jackets and caps, and chest logo size for small-logo legibility.

We build the embroidery file; compliance of the finished garment is the decision of the garment maker and the employer. Keep logos small on garments near the class minimum.

Placement

Where a logo should go on hi-vis

  • On the fluorescent background, not on or across retroreflective tape
  • Chest above the horizontal band is the usual position on a vest
  • Small enough that the visible background stays above the class minimum
  • Back logos only where the garment maker allows decoration there
  • Mesh vests: minimal density with stabilizer, or a heat-applied logo

FAQs

Hi-vis digitizing questions

On the fluorescent background and clear of the reflective tape, usually on the chest above the horizontal band. Keep it small enough that the visible background stays above the class minimum.
Mesh is open and thin, so it needs stabilizer and the lightest density. Many suppliers prefer solid-front vests or heat-applied logos for mesh.
Both are common. Embroidery lasts longer through laundering; transfers are lighter on thin fabric. We digitize the embroidered option and can supply vector art for transfers.
Anything that covers fluorescent or retroreflective material reduces the visible area. Check the garment maker's decoration guidance, especially on garments close to the class minimum; we keep logos small.
Standard density is too heavy for thin fluorescent polyester. A hi-vis build uses lighter density and stabilizing underlay so the vest stays flat.
Dark colors such as black or navy contrast best with yellow and orange. Send your brand colors and we'll show the result in the preview.
Each hi-vis logo file has one flat price set by its complexity, with all formats and unlimited revisions included; see the price table on this page or the full price list. Rush (2–4 hours) and super rush (1–2 hours) add 50%.
