Vests, polos & jackets

Hi-Vis Embroidery Logo Digitising

Hi-vis embroidery digitising puts company logos on EN ISO 20471 vests, polos and jackets without stiffening the fabric or covering reflective tape. We use the lightest density that holds on thin fluorescent polyester and size logos for the background area. Safety wear suppliers comparing hi-vis digitizing get a flat price per design with a VAT invoice.

Branding that keeps workers visible

EN ISO 20471 sets minimum areas of fluorescent background and retroreflective material for each class, so a company logo on a site waistcoat has to be modest, sit on background material and stay off the tape.

Hi-vis fabric is thin polyester or open mesh that ripples under ordinary density. We build the lightest file that still covers, with stabilising underlay, so the garment stays flat.

Kitting out the rest of the team? See workwear digitising for polos, softshells and beanies, and chest logo sizing for small logos.

We supply the embroidery file; whether a decorated garment still meets its class is for the garment manufacturer and employer to confirm. Keep logos small on garments near the minimum.

Position

Where a logo belongs on hi-vis

  • On fluorescent background, never on or across the reflective tape
  • Chest, above the horizontal band on a waistcoat
  • Modest size, so visible background stays above the class minimum
  • Back logos only where the manufacturer permits decoration
  • Mesh waistcoats: minimal density with stabiliser, or a heat-applied logo

FAQs

Hi-vis digitising questions

Not automatically, but anything covering fluorescent or reflective material reduces the certified area. Check the manufacturer's decoration guidance; we keep logo coverage small.
On the fluorescent background and clear of the reflective tape, usually on the chest above the horizontal band, and small enough that the visible background stays above the class minimum.
Mesh is open and thin, so it needs stabiliser and the lightest density. Many suppliers use solid-front waistcoats or heat-applied logos for mesh.
Normal density is too heavy for thin fluorescent polyester. A hi-vis build uses lighter density and stabilising underlay to keep the garment flat.
Both are common. Embroidery lasts longer through washing; transfers are lighter on thin fabric. We digitise the embroidery and can supply vector artwork for transfers.
Dark colours such as black or navy stand out on yellow and orange. Send your brand colours and we'll show how they look in the preview.
Each hi-vis logo file has one flat price set by its complexity, with all formats, unlimited revisions and a VAT invoice included; see the price table on this page or the UK price list. Rush (2–4 hours) and super rush (1–2 hours) add 50%.
